It's Friday....

It's Friday afternoon, and I need to kick back. What better way than to start a blog? Tomorrow ("mañana") I'll post pictures from a recent library performance. Great kids, wonderful weather, who could ask for anything more?

Earlier this afternoon, I met with Christina, an organizer from Stand for Children. Those of you who are advocates for education in the state of Oregon will be interested in this grass roots organization. It's goal is to "ensure all children have the opportunity to grow up healthy, educated, and safe." Two focus points: more funding for education, AND for the legislators who will make education a high, if not #1, priority.
