Friday, July 10: Another beautiful drive, this time along the Columbia Gorge to The Dalles. Visitors are greeted by the sight of bears playing near the library entrance. My husband, Mark Hanson, was my "roadie" for the day, and took these pictures.
The audience and I talked about our favorite books before the show.
I had lots of helpers who played spoons....

and played bamboo drum, guiro, frogs, and more.
